The Tech Demo Is Awsome And The Destructable Enviornments Bring A Whole New Level Of Gameplay Especially In Multiplayer. I Can't Wait To See What New Gameplay Elements They Implement.

I dunno, that corpser looks like a non-swallower. The seeder on the other hand...well that goes without saying.

I didn't play the GOW, but I hear the controls are a lot like RE:4. I was really impressed by the water, looking like it was taken from Crysis. Does the first game have much of a story, or will I be okay going straight into the second?

The first one has a really bad story. I got more narration reading the manual of the LE than playing the game.

this isnt exactly a story driven game

but this game does NOT play at all like RE4, the only similarity is that its technically 3rd person.

The over-the-shoulder camera was inspired by RE4, but that's where the similarities end, I guess.

Story driven? no. But apparently they want to flesh it out more for number 2. But honestly, this isn't a game that requires story. You just need an excuse to shoot the fuck out of Locusts, and they give you that much in spades.

Actually Im pretty sure that cliffy b said RE 4 was a major influence for gears

For the story I'm guessing we'll know more about Dom's girlfriend/wife/sister/aunt/cousin/dog Maria and maybe a confrontation with the Locust Queen.
