I think hardware buying will be down mostly across the board in North America because a lot of parents bought toys for their kids to keep them occupied for the summer in June. Only exception to this will be the PS3 which had a publicized (arguably temporary) price cut early this month, and will therefore pick up some short-lived volume. I also don't think Wii sales will soften as much since demand and hype still persist. Xbox 360 took somewhat of a beating in the news recently, and I expect that to reflect in the sales from cautious consumers, though the last minute unofficial price cut that seems to be going into effect now may save them from tanking too much. DS: 460K Wii: 360K PSP: 250K PS2: 240K PS3: 160K 360: 150K GBA: 100K (Yes, I just predicted that the PS3 would... temporarily... pass the 360 this month).
