| Seriously, the game looks great, I can't believe anyone can complain. And there's still 6 months before launch.

| Exactly, it's not perfect by any means, nor the best looking game evar, but, as far as I'm concerned, it's really nice to look at, especially in motion and I will be first in line to buy the game and first to download Metal Gear Online.

Not complaining...just making an honest observation. The graphics certainly aren't the best, but that doesn't mean the game won't be good. The graphics are certainly "good enough." You PS3 owners are just in a bad place because of all the "teh cell is God" talk we heard before the PS3 arrived and now after. We'll always have firepower until the cell matches the potential Sony told us it had! Sorry, dude!! |

| Something realistic. The world never looks like that unless theres about to be a tornado, and thats orange. I can't even consider it as a real art style decision either... I mean if you're going to go with a style make it a little more obvious like Halo with the colors and shiny crap. This just looks the same as all the other war games, color desaturation... except tinted a pooish color to set itself apart from the gray shooters.

| I only mentioned it because Lan uses Gears for comparison, I like Gears, but it's not the exactly most colourful game in the world.

I understand. I was just trying to explain why he said what he said. Neither Gears nor MGS seem to have much in the way of picturesque environments, though I haven't seen many of the environments in MGS. Do colors really tax the processor that much more? |

| Ah, I see. So you're saying that since they went from brown to tan, they'll probably go from tan to color in the next 6 months.

| I'm saying that complaining about anything at all in a graphical standpoint is utterly pointless with half a year to go in development.

| I'm still certain it's a sylistic thing, the whole setting looks like the Middle East and then when you get images like this on the news, it's easy to see why people would take a desert city and give it washed out colours: ![]() ![]() I'm not defending it, as I'd prefer some colour, but I don't think it's hardware related.
