Default Medal of Honor Airborne demo coming Aug. 23

As much as you might complain about advertising taking over real estate on your favorite "Internet Web Site," we must never forget all the good things about it. Yes, primary among those is that we here at Joystiq get to continue our fiendish desire for snorting crushed up Faberge eggs, but there are other uses. For example, we learn that the demo for Medal of Honor Airborne will be parachuting in on Aug. 23.

We don't learn what platform the demo is coming to, but we'd bet Xbox 360 and PC. With the PS3 version quite a ways off in the distance, we doubt there's any need to rush. Speaking of being a ways off, we had previously thought that the game was due in late August, but the ad is now touting a Sept. 6 release date.

A while ago, there were three games on the horizon that were all similar. They were Medal of Honor: Airborne, Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, and Call of Duty 3. I chose Call of Duty 3, and any desire I might have felt for the others vanished.

I don't get what the free advertising comment has to do with the demo?

Anyway, who gives a crap about this game. The last few have been horrible.

Another EA game living off past success - confirmed.

At this point, I don't think there's any success to live off of. This seems to be an attempt at reinventing the franchise. Who knows, now that Call of Duty has moved on, maybe they can take back the genre.

I think this one is actually a good try at making a good MOH game. I loved Frontlines and Rising Sun, but it just sucked after that.

I love Medal of Honour but it got too repetitive after awhile, hopefully they've stepped back taken a new, fresh approach with this one as far as gameplay goes.

I feel sorry for you because Brothers in Arms is a fantastic game.
