i dunno if PS3 will get a jump on the 360, maybe it'll be a draw for july

I can say that August's will be back to the same ol, only with 360 beating it out by more than usual b/c of the price drop for 360.

I was at Best Buy today looking for 360 stuff, they had 4 80 gig PS3's on the shelves and 2 60 giggers on a table out in the middle (they were renovating and it was kinda a clearance table).

Walked on over to the 360 area and it was DECIMATED,,,, nothing, not even a core, not a system in sight just empty shelves THE WHOLE AISLE, i couldnt believe it, and the games were picked through like mad, i was really bummed out. There was even a couple guys who came in to see if they had gotten any new pros in, and the guy who worked there said they were still out... so, i'm thinking that July may be PS3's, but August definitely is 360's...

Unlikley, while halo 3 will sell a huge pile a games there is no confirmation that the number of system sales will see a significant increase. Most people who will buy halo 3 already own their 360. There was no reason to wait especially since MSoft abondoned games for the original xbox the day after 360 was released. In fact buyer who may have waited until 3 probably bought the day after gears of war was released.

There is a direct correlation between game sales and system sales, as game sales increase system scales increase.

Not exactly games are released every week and generally hardware sales remain fairly constant. If there is a sharp increase in 360 sales it wont be due to a games release it will be due to the usually holiday increase. Either way the Wii will continue to dominate and would be double the 360 if they could make em fast enough
