If 9-year-old games were no good anymore, why does every Wii owner claim that playing old Nintendo games is one of the Wii's best features?

If you want to compare things that way, Twilight Princess is better than OoT in every aspect except difficulty. (but all 3D zeldas are easy)

You know why? Because it's 8 years newer than OoT.

Tastes change and so do standards. People point out where I said that OoT was no longer a good game or that it has aged badly. Fact is while OoT remains one of the highest rated games ever it isn't anywhere near as good by todays standards. Just look at Twilight Princess, it's basically the same game with a different story and it didn't get as high reviews but if Twilight Princess had come out back in 1998, even with OoT graphics it would be the best thing ever. Old games are fun to play but they don't compare with what we play today. Standards are much higher.

Motion controls also dated graphics do not make a game old.

This is just the unreal engine at work. Lineage 2 (which used the Unreal 2 engine) for instance was a PC only game but in one of it's .dat files there were options for Xbox configuration.
