I picked Gears, love it to death, since i bought it i have played it everyday, that is until my 360 broke :-( Luckily it should be repaired within 2 weeks.

LOL. Fine, so far. Tetris is the best example of a video game achieving mass market, even more so than Super Mario Brothers, IMO. You used pretty much all next-gen games. =/ I know there's an other option but still.

Anyway. In all honesty, even though it's not my favorite game I'd have to say Super Mario Bros. Why you ask? Well it saved gaming. Games were boring, not nice looking, fun, addictive or gave the gamer an incentive to finish the games. Until that game out and it turned gaming around. It pushed things like the Sege Genesis to be all it could be (with unfortunately things like Sega CD and 32x and Saturn) and not to mention it eventually drew in the Sony Playstation when Nintendo turned their backs on Sony. And then we know Microsoft hopped in later in the game.


It was kind of a chain reaction. Without that game I think that games would have gotten better a lot later and the gaming world would be totally different.
