I knew that wasn't going to happen. Because at the store that I work at they picked up the pace a little bit with the fake price drop.(Because thats what the 60GB PS3 is a fake price drop) They sold better, but not much better, then they did at $600. Now that the fake 80GB with motorstorm is out those aren't moving that well either.(Plus who wants to pay $100 more for a game that isn't that good and console has some missing parts for backwards compatibilty? Anyways as a PS3 owner I have to say this sony! You need to cut it down to $400 and BRING OUT SOME GREAT EXCLUSIVE GAMES THAT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR SO CALLED CELL PROCESSOR! For real.

Well.............PS3 sales did double..........but that seems to make it even more pathetic that it still can't outsell teh Xbox.

Person with common sense: "Yet the XBox 360 saw no major sales increase and still sold more than the PS3"

Late to the thread ...

As sad as the PS3 situation is, just imagine what August will be like (360 price drop). Then September, Halo 3... Not to mention PS3 is going back up in price.

As for Wii, that had to have broken a record. 400k+ in July? Holy shit.
