12 was decidedly "meh". It's not bad, but I played it for a few hours and haven't gone back to it.

X is good though, I would check it out, it's very linear, but it's a decent story and I like the battle system, X-2 goes back to the classic battle system and "jobs", but it just feels so badly throw together.

I will buy XIII, but I'm not really trying not to hype it up.

Yeah I heard X-2 was kind of odd for the newer generation of FF players, cause I played the older ones and then the newer ones and there pretty different. 12 got mixed reviews so I was confused on how people really felt about FF anymore. I guess it will probably help them. I hear square said something about remakes being their thing to do now and just I saw like a lot of FF titles for PS3 so maybe it will be good.

I don't think the PS3 needs "saving," but if it did, Home certainly wouldn't be its Jesus.

The PS3 just needs a few more price drops and it'll be fine. Give it another year or two and we'll all forget this ever happened.

Home has the opportunity to be the launching pad for a lot of great things, but really the only way I can see it being a system seller is if someone has several friends already that have Home. Otherwise it's more of a thing that people will notice after they've bought a PS3 and say "this is kind of cool".

I think Home will be really cool. It's very much like a glorified more personal chat that really will help to create a sense of community, something that PSN doesn't have. Having an avatar creates a kind of spatial awareness that differentiates itself from other services.

Home is so gay.

When I turn on my game console, I want to be able to launch my games asap.

I understand the community aspect, and that's good, but video chat, txt chat, and voice chat and friend lists does it for me. I dont need to walk around a virtual world and meet people, I already know people. And the extra assets done to make it possible just means it will take longer to initiate games, to accept game invites, etc.

See you don't understand. You can still do that. PSN already has a friends system. But if you want the extra community aspect you can do it. I think a lot of people don't understand that Home is not obligatory.

Let's just hope Home doesn't become a place for a bunch of whiny little kids to annoy everyone.

I could easily see that happening. Live can be the same way quite often, but at least you only have to deal with it for 1 game.
