| The latest EGM has a commentary on the Home beta, and by the sound of it, this might be Sony's last opportunity to salvage the PS3. But will it? At first glance, the potential seems great...but after a while you wonder if it's really what people want. First of all, there's this little thing called Second Life already out there. Home basically seems like another SL, except with Sony cross-promotion everywhere (which makes me a little sick). Really, Home seems like this grand marketing scheme for Sony crap all over...maybe I'll be wrong. If they fill the thing with microtransaction crap, it's ridiculous. Sure, you may get a cult following, but I'm thinking it won't be enough to save the PS3. Your comments?

| It's more the features that come with Home. The PSN version of Achievements, "Trophies" and integrated friend lists and jumping straight into a multiplayer game. Home its self, is just a way to make these features look pretty, but it's not really a feature that will have much impact to anyone but existing owners. Sony are pushing it because it's something different. They already said once they have a service that matches Live, they will consider charging for it. As it stands, they don't feel they could charge when Live is better in every respect.

| If Sony makes PSN something you have to pay for I wouldn't subscribe unless it was like 10 a year or something lower. Like maybe 30 a year at most.

| Home is not a system seller.

The RRP of a Live 12 month subscription here is £40 (but you can get it a lot lower), I doubt Sony would charge more than that, probably a little less.

| The only thing that will give them a sales boos is if FF and MSG are both PS3 exclusive, and come out soon...both of witch are not going to happen...

| How do people feel about FF anymore? I really pretty much stopped liking them after 8, I didn't really like 9 and 10-2 I heard was bad, I haven't played 10 and I heard people don't consider 11 a true ff while I heard 12 was amazing.
