TP was 40 hours (I think). Dunno about RE4.

RE4 is shorter, but more replayable with better extras. I spent 25 hours my first time through, and will go through it again on Hard mode. Seperate Ways and Assignment Ada adds at least five hours or so. Mercenaries is extremely addictive with its own set of unlockable characters, I probably played it for over ten hours so far. I think I spent 50 hours on TP to complete and collect almost everything, but there's little to compel you to play it again or to play the minigames.

i will get TONS more hours out of RE4

i beat TP in 30 something and had to force myself to finish it, tried it again a few months later, but couldnt motivate myself to finish it

RE4 i went through like 3.5 times plus all extras and mercenaries and i could easily see myself going through it again this spring when i get some free time, RE4 has MUCH greater replayability than TP imo

Although the time it took me to beat tp once was about as long as it took for me to beat re4 3 times.

you can do shortcuts/sequence breaks that can make a game way shorter than intended...

for example this hasn't been implemented into a speed run yet because nobody has done a faster run yet but you can skip most of i think it's the castle by blasting of this lock on a door with the tmp. It doesn't work with any other weapon.

(The OOT speedrun is amazing i just got done watching it... Single segment 4:46 minutes he doesn't even get fire/zora tunic fire arrows, iron boots, longshot and he get silver gaunlets right after doing deku tree
