PS3 is closer to 8 mil. I'd say 7.85. Nowhere close to VG which is saying 8.7. Everything else is good (except for 360 which needs to be a little higher).

The Bitbag » 1.2 Million Playstation 3 Units Sold After Black Friday

Take this with a grain of salt, as it comes from Sony, but they're saying 1.2 million PS3s sold to consumers after Black Friday.

I'm guessing it's in the US.

Front page says that Wii is ahead by 2.4mil, is this correct?

'microsoft' issued a report claiming that they have sold a lot more ...

ok, so when we update the numbers, are we going to use the exact MC numbers? cause that would go a long way in making out numbers look alot less like giant estimates...

True, but we're assuming they have 3 million sitting on shelves?

Either way, I don't think the #'s are finalized.

3 million WW on shelves really isnt that huge of an assumption. think of every major retail store in the country, and each one could have upwards of 20 360s on shelves/in the back. that adds up really quick, specially when you account for the whole world...

I thought the usual assumption was 0.5 - 1 million on shelves?

So Sony said they sold 1.2 million since Black Friday. Does that mean they were actually 1.8 in the hole?

dude, your taking this to rigidly, sony says they sold 1.2million, they already had the x many consoles on store shelves, what they most likely did is they actually sold most of the .12 with a small fraction staying on shelves...
