Microsoft have probably sold about 11.3 million, I don't think anyone will argue they've sold less than 11 million though. Sales will probably pick up in September, but I doubt to the degree many people believe, a lot of people will already have a 360 for Halo, so it'll just be the normal surge in sales from a big name game, not the second coming.

Nintendo have sold around about 10.9, probably about to break 11 million, but will probably be a good bit ahead come 2008. Brawl and Galaxy will push sales, but it's going to be the mini games and casuals that take it to victory this holiday season.

Sony are sitting on 5.2 million, less than 5 million is most likely too low. It's yet to have a Christmas in Europe, which could be a deciding factor. They have big first party titles coming, but one is only a "demo" version and one is probably not a system seller (Ratchet and Clank).

Lets get one thing straight.

Whenever MS Sony or Ninty send out a press release stating how many consoles they have sold, they are referring to how many consoles they have sold to retail stores. Sony finally jumped on the bandwagen and the next quartly report that is due at the beginning of october (for july/aug/sept) they will report sold to retail instead of shipped to warehouse. Again, 11.6m units have been sold to retailers world wide, but they have sold between 10.5-10.8m consoles to consumers.

Last financial report Microsoft reported shipped and not sold so I don't know why you are singling out Sony. Heck, that last financial report is where this infamous 11.6 million first appeared.
