My picks for surprises:

I think Call of Duty 4 is going to impress a lot of reviewers. All the early hands on talk about how much fun they've had, and I think that's going to translate to abnormally high scores for a sequel.

LittleBigPlanet appeals to the (hah!) casuals who the rank and file here at NGW hate with such intense passion. I think it's going to win a lot of brownie points on cuteness and creativity and the strength of user generated content providing near-infinite replayability.

I've got some low scores up there for Haze and Killzone 2, and that's mostly because neither game has shown me anything much that makes them stand out from the swarm of FPS shooters in the next generation. Haze's only truly great feature is 4 player online mission co-op, and I'm still waiting to see how that pans out before I raise any score projection for it. Killzone 2 is more likely to follow in its predecessor's footsteps than do anything dramatic for gaming no matter how much Sony would like to convince us otherwise.

I really think Rock Band is going to get some glowing reviews. The price is a buzzkill for some people, but the gameplay looks great (as you'd expect from the makers of the original Guitar Hero as well as Karaoke Revolution). I fully expect it to shine above the competition (Guitar Hero 3 and SingStar).

Killzone 2: It has a lot to make up for and I dont have much faith in it. After the hype for the orginal, the game was mediocre. This one strikes me as similar, sadly.

Mario Galaxy: I will be very surprised if it isnt the top rated game of that lot.

Smash Bros: It will be good (damn, it will be awesome) but no reviewer will give it above Galaxy by default.

For Galaxy expect in the low 90's. Some reviewers (Gamespot) will gave this game low 80's score because control will be too responsible!!!!
