I seriously doubt there'll be any real losers so far as the consoles go.

The 360 will fail to pull away from the PS3, largely because it hasn't matched the latest price drop, but it's solid library should give it solid numbers.

The PS3, with its latest round of price adjustments will still likely be a distant 3rd, but will also show signs of life that will renew the faith for 2008 (something MS should have tried hard not to do).

And the Wii will sell out. Still.

Most of the games listed will do just fine, too. I guess I can see some cannibalism going on with RockStar and Guitar Hero III, but both will still sell tons of copies.

I'm gonna say the 360 will sell more, but only because there will be more available, and, finally, the price is competitive (the arcade pack is a viable option, whether you laugh at it or not).

As for games, I'm going to say Call of Duty 4, as it's already on track to outsell Halo 3 (keep in mind, this is on all it's platforms: PC, PS3, 360, DS)

If nintendo has been saving some wiis for this christmas then i think they got it covered for the most consoles sold. They might reach around 3-5 million this christmas sold. Galaxy will reach like 3-5 million if it really takes off as a title to buy with the wii. 360 will see regular sales like last year. Halo 3 will sell a lot like usually but not enough to get past galaxy or guitar hero 3. Ps3 will be in the back seat just getting by and taking sales over other consoles when they run out pretty much.

I'm ready to bet that many people have not purchased SMG yet in hopes of getting it at christmas, and there are a lot of people who do their holliday shopping at the last minute... so I'd say that we won't really be able to know how SMG does during the hollidays until after the hollidays.

Hardware: 1st Wii , 2nd PS3 , 3rd 360

I think the 1 year old consoles will rule.


Software: 1st Wii Sports or SMG, 3rd Mass Effect

This is where I can cheat because I know Wii sports is no.1 in the US and sold over 400,000 whilst Mass Effect (out 1 week) sold less than 200,000 - 24th Nov (Source - whichever one you choose, look it up)

Isn't that the great thing about predictions? Everyone can see the future in their own way and no one can call it wrong until AFTER the future becomes the past.

Yeah, definitely missed that memo, ignore anything regarding Wii Sports.

Actually while we are at it, I base my sales prediction world wide and did not limit it to N.America (I presume the predictions were US only base as black Friday was mentioned)

So yeah, maybe you are right.
