Really? I guess IGn is the only idiots lol Oh and before some people tear their sacks, I didn't or am Implying that just because a game is easy it equals bad.

Super Mario Galaxy is one of the greatest platformers I have ever played, Wii's best game, and an absolute must-own experience. And to me, this odd trek through space really does feel like the true sequel to Mario 64. It harkens back to the N64 classic with nostalgic faces and places from the Mushroom Kingdom, but it also re-invents the franchise with new space-themed mechanics and fresh Wii-enhanced controls. It is, as I have said since I first played it, a near-perfect combination of old platforming values and new design.
Expect to be blown away by the fantastic level challenges and galactic variety. Expect to be blown away by the addictive gravity effects -- you will jump off ledges just to see if you can rotate all the way around a structure. And expect to be blown away by the tight controls and beautiful graphics. Galaxy isn't quite perfect. There are some minor issues -- tiny blemishes, if you will, hiding on the backside of a supermodel. There's the auto-camera, which works exceptionally well most of the time, but every so often stumbles. And there's the overall difficulty -- a little too easy to 60 stars and to defeat bosses for my tastes. But even with these potential drawbacks, Nintendo's Tokyo studio has created a platformer that deserves its place among the very best and will surely be remembered in another decade as a classic.

It doesn't say anything about the other 60 stars...

Watch 1up's video review.

In IGNS video review it says you can beat the game quick with only 60 stars and the bosses are easy (MOST OF THEM, not all so relax) and that you would have to go collect 120 stars to make it more challenging but not a requirment at all.

I can't wait to get this game though, the visuals are amazing, feels so trippy and the music *drools*. Best Mario game ever!

That method actually makes some sense though. Allow the casual gamers to get a sense of accomplishment by being able to go through and clear the game. Maybe it will give them the motivation to go and try to get the last 60 stars and begin their ascent out of casual territory. For the more serious gamer I've gathered that you need a minimum of 60 stars to be able to clear the game, but I'll assume that like Mario 64 the option is left up to the gamer if they actually do the final battle at that point or wait until they have more stars. Gives the potential for everybody to get something out of the game once they finish it.

Yeah I guess, this is true. Reguardless, this will be the best game I ever played next to Zelda OOT.

I personally don't care as I'll clear a game as soon as I can and then go back and get everything I missed. I did go to high school with someone though who refused to beat Bowser until he had all 120 stars in Mario 64. Don't know if he did it or not, but I cleared the game well before he ever did, and wound up with all 120 stars in the end.

Some games are hard, some games are not so hard, but generalisations are never a good thing. Saying all games on a system are easy/hard/casual/hardcore because some of them are easy/hard/casual/hardcore is just stupid.

I still think most are. Probably because the games that are legendary are to easy like MP3 for example, Since MP2 and MP1 was way harder than this one, you think they made it easier on purpose.

Or does it feel easier because the controls make it so? (never played either, but I certainly know I can't aim with analog sticks, but had a blast aiming on RE4: wii for example).
