I'm not saying Nintendo shouldn't invest in their great lines of IP, I'm saying they should invest more in new IPs. Your point about the launch is quite reasonable, but still doesn't contradict with the call that Nintendo should work more, and harder.

insight goalie's post in this thread are basically a compilation of "im a better gamer than you, my vote counts for more" elitist bullshit. EVERYONE on this board is a hardcore gamer, if we werent, we wouldnt be debating games on a fukking internet forum. the wii ___ titles ARE games, they are not as technically advances and not as standard as "hardcore games" but they are, in fact, GAMES. saying that they arent and then putting yourself on a pedestal about how you are a superior gamer because you have X platform instead of Y is childish and immature. get over yourself.

*note* i dont even like the wii ___ games, all i have and will ever have is wii sports which wasnt by choice. but saying they are not games is both stupid and elitist.

Not me personally but in general people's mind set is of that. Nintendo fans the most seem to be sensitive on any possible negativity torwards it. So all arguments end with the fact that Nintendo is winning so they have no problems or are doing enough right to satisfy all and doesn't need to be better. See what I am saying?

i dunno, alot of the ninty owners on this site are fairly down to earth, to the point that, unless you knew previously, you wouldnt even be able to tell they owned a wii. with my last post i assume you would make the connection that i own a wii, but i will be the first to tell you that i am PISSED at ninty for their ultra shitty online system. they need to get their act together there or they will be in trouble in the future, they are ahead now, but sustainability is going to be damn hard without a proper online service in this day and age.

I have a Wii too, I love it to death. Online doesn't really bother me though. Only 1 game I would play online and that is brawl, the others that would be good would be all 1 player games like Mario Galax, MP3 and Zelda.

back on topic tho, wasnt the wii the biggest risk of all? back in early 2006, ninty was coming off of getting their ass handed to them with the n64, and lets not even talk about how they did with the GCN. E3 06 was seriously do or die time with ninty, if the wii didnt not take off, nintendo would have been out of the console business. i think that the completely radically different approach to the wii was a HUEG risk and it sems to be paying off in the short term at least.
