between the 2 sets of 3, im not going to make any definitive statements, but i do think that the 3 ninty ones will have slightly longer legs being ninty powerhitters on a ninty console. as good as bioshock and mass effect (and even halo) are, they are parts of genres with lots of choices and i think that as time wears on, they could suffer a little from it.

and metroid was probly in there for three reasons: 1 she is one of nintys main 3 characters, 2 wii options always win polls here, and 3 wii doesnt have all that meny big games to choose from.
Unfortunately, SMG will probably beat Mass Effect, however I think the statement about RPGs was ill-informed. Bioware RPGs don't come out all the time. RPGs with dialouge trees and character customization like Mass effect don't come out all the time.

Wait, you don't think Galaxy will beat ME?

lol, sorry i stepped on biowares toes in your guys' eyes, but do you at least see what im saying? mario is the single largest gaming icon EVER. his only real game in an entire generation is going to have longer legs than even a bioshock rpg.

I recall hearing some stuff about Mario games not blowing through the roof on sales, but consistently selling a lot over time. New Super Mario Bros. is still selling top 20 on DS, if I remember correctly.

Before any of the big games were released. Nintendo fans were ALL about polls concerning sales.

Post-Halo 3, I'm seeing a distinct lack of both polls and anything pertaining to said polls.

That's all.

Whether you want to admit it or not, the sales of Galaxy will give a VERY good indication of the Wii's userbase.

It's a fun game, known to both the hardcore AND casual markets, critically acclaimed and designed to exploit the console on which it was developed for. Not to mention the flagship title for the consoles ENTIRE life, the....Halo for the Nintendo Wii if you will.

If it can't compete with Halo's sales, then it DOES in fact say a lot about the Wii's userbase. I never said there are no million sellers on Wii did I?

Mario galaxy actually had the best selling first week of any mario game to date.

Don't tell ed. Apparently SMG is selling worse than it should be.

1 or 2 more than any other Mario game is less than it should be.
