So no, it's not better than Super Mario World and never will be, few games will be. Few games will even be as good as Super Mario World. It's still an amazing game and easily the best game since Super Mario World as far as Mario goes.
Precisely why I won't be drooling over the game when I play it. It can do nothing but hurt a game when I have to compare it to Mario World.

you know what I love the most?

I called Mario a fantastic game, a game worth buying a Wii for.

Mario Galaxy is one of the best games I have ever played. Simply because of the replay value. There simply just isn't anything wrong with the game.

Look, I like the game, but let's not get tooooo excited.

The controls aren't as responsive as they should be, and the camera needs work.

The 'draggin' feeling Mario 64 had was fine for 1996, but in 2007 I think platformers need to be more responsive.

But like I said, it's still a great game.

To be honest I can't imagine what kind of unresponsive controls you are talking about, other than Spring Mario (which I haven't even gotten to yet, but I'll take reviewers' and people's words from around here about it) and maybe that one ball level. Just controlling Mario, I had no responsiveness problems, or "I wish this was a bit more precise" instances at all.

The camera does have it's problems occasionally though.

Your heart-break with the Wii fans on this forum left you looking for love elsewhere, Ed?

No you're right, I just posted the same thing in another thread.

It's not the Wiimote, it's the actual game itself.

True, but you see, the problem started when you stated that it wasn't the greatest game ever created. Saying anything bad against SMG = angry wii fans.

Camera needs work? Sometimes it has its quirks but it but the goods far outweigh the bads in this situation. I don't know your controls issue, maybe you just suck.

But whatever. You are entitled to your opinion. How far did you get anyway? Did you get a star?

I've got almost 70, but I can already get access to Princess Peach. I haven't gon ehtere yet, I'm trying to get all the other stars. I assume they are in the remaining Galaxy/Observatory?

Because, I'm like over 50 short, so where the hell are all these stars?

As far as I can tell, I have EVERY star from the other observatories,
PLUS the green Trial galaxy ones, PLUS those pink ones that are next to each observatory.

So where the hell are the other 50?
