Hence, saying that it was an exaggeration. Anyways, yes Dax you've driven the point home that you like a good storybook in your game. Personally Ill save it for the movies.
My system of preferrence is the 360, not the PS3. 90% of members here already know that.

Doesn't mean I don't like all 3 consoles (5 with my DS and PSP).

I just found Ratchet more fun. I never said I DIDN'T like Mario. I love Galaxy, I DID say it was a fantastic game did I not? The fact that people are still getting upset is really just revealing who the fanboys really are.

It's not like I did what the Wii fanboys did, call Halo 3 Halo 2 HD and say it was a shit/boring/average game.

I'm sure Banjo 3 will be one of my faves too. Nice you forgot to mention Banjo 1 on the NINTENDO 64 is one of my favourites ever. Not to mention Donkey Kong Country, again on a Super NINTENDO.

I just don't feel that Galaxy deserves these easily bantered around GOTY, Best Game Ever tags, that's all. It's still an 9.0-9.4 game for me.

Ratchet looks better, handles 10x times better. Insomniac NAILED the controls. Ratchet behaves EXACTLY the way your character should in a platformer.

The difficulty is nigh on perfect (Galaxy's is also good) and the RPG upgrading elements make it almost the complete package as far as a platformer goes. You can use whatever weapon you want, you get a choice of almost 30.

They break up the gameplay with Clank sequences Lylat Wars style flight sequences, they have swimming (again better mechanics than Galaxy) and even full 3D movement a la Galaxy.

So all things considered, I fail to see how someone could not be making a valid point when saying they enjoyed RC TOD more.

EDIT: To the person who said the reviews said RC TOD was similar to previous ones, I never played the previous ones so I wouldn't know. I played the first RC and didn't like it so I stayed away from the series until now.

I was a massive Jak and Daxter fan in the PS2 days.

I've only had minor problems with the camera, and it never caused me to die (maybe I'm just a better player than Ed?) although it did come close to killing me one time, but that was caused by the only major problem in the camera, that you cannot turn it while swimming.

To put this in perspective, the camera's bothered me less than the weird partial (and horribly inadequate) implementation of voiceovers.

You probably ARE better than me.

But I still died as a result of the camera's inadequacies as opposed to me not being able to perform a particular jump.

The time I dies the most was on Beach Galaxy - Undersea Cavern. Trying to get that first 1UP. It cause the most jump deaths for me.

Oh, I was being sarcastic about being better than you, I suck at videogames.

I got a couple deaths on that spot at first until I got into the groove of going across (since it actually took me forever to finish the star itself)

Good God you read way too much into my post. It wasnt even directed at you as much as for who I quoted. That's why I said some. Anyways, I dont see why anyone would be ashamed that theyd prefer games for their first or second choice consoles. It's not meant as a "you're a fanboy remark", but it's why some people would prefer a 9.0 game versus 9.5 , and then question how "x game could get a 9.5 when I like y which got a 9.0" . While both great games, it just comes down to prefrence.

by the way, Rainbow.

How was this trolling or flaming?

It was about Galaxy and how much I like it, and what it reminds me of. THEre was no debate intended when I started this thread. I was letting Waa Waa know of my appreciation of the game, of which there is much.

Clearly you didn't really read the OP.

I think it was where you said it doesn't deserve GOTY and isn't better than R&K.
