Ok Waa Waa, I played Mario Galaxy...

So I bought it yesterday and I've been playing it quite a bit. I think I've clocked up about 8 hours and have around 36 or 37 stars.

I gotta say, the game is awesome.

So far it's everything I expected. It plays well, the levels are cool and I personally feel the difficulty is just right for this kind of game.

My ONLY gripe is the camera. Man it fucks up too many times. I've lost too many men simply because the camera was wrong or didn't move whern it should. But considering the gaining of extra men is as easy as getting coins, it's not a major issue.

The game is great, it's the best game on the Wii right now, it's a reason to own a Wii. I really do think it is a fantastic game.

Having said that, I'm sticking to my guns. It still reminds me a fuckton of Mario 64. Now that I've played it a shitload, anyone who thinks otherwise is in real denial. But being like M64 isn't a bad thing. Only a fanboy would think so anyway.

Also, it's not GOTY. No way, and it's FAR from the best platformer or game ever made. That's horse shit.

Anyone who's played Ratchet and Clank wouldn't be calling Mario Galaxy the best platformer ever, let alone best GAME ever.

But still, it is an absolutely great game. So even those of you who DON'T have a Wii, get one even if it's just for Galaxy.

I think any one of the Jak and Daxter games (1-3) is better than SMG. Except for combat racing and Daxter.

It does remind me of Mario 64 as well, but considering that's the first 3D Mario game that seems no real surprise. Much like nearly every 2D one reminds me of the original Super Mario Bros.

The funny thing is, I never made that comment in a negative way. Being like what is considered one of the best games ever is not a bad ting.

I think it just prevents said game from being considered the best game ever.

To be honest, I love the game, I do, but I like Ratchet and Clank TOD more.

I also enjoyed Jak and Daxter and Banjo Kazooie more also.
