Biggest Problem with the Wii?

I would like to see what the devs could do if they focused their attention more on making good games for the wii.

It's really part of the reason that I got a PS3. When the PS3 and Wii launched last year I was most interested in the Wii. If I'd have found a Wii on launch day, I probably would have got one, and most likely would have had to wait quite a while to get a PS3. Since I didn't find one, it gave me time to think about it more and I realized if I had a Wii there would be a lot of games that I would be missing out on. Sure you'd get the Mario's and all the other same old Nintendo franchises, but at the same time I'd be missing out on the RE5's or the GTA's or the potential of a PS3 Parappa. It became enough to make me decide that a PS3 could be worth the big bucks and I got one once found one on shelves.

Reflecting back now I see that most of my must have games are coming for the PS3 and I'm not sure if I'd be happy if my Wii was my number 1 new console, instead of number 2.

Is it the third parties fault? Can Soul Calibur 4 the same exact game work on the Wii? I don't think it can even do that so they have to make a downgraded version for it, Wii has motion sensing which is also boring for fighting games after awhile unles sit is dbz or something not 2d side to side. Ghost buster 360 can not have the same elements as ghost busters Wii, would be horrible.

there is a difference between porting a game from Sega Saturn and making a decent game from the ground up for the wii. ninty has shown that the wii can do some pretty good stuff, no one else seems interested in pushing the boundaries, unless its on the 360/ps3
