No the people i play smash with prefer console controls but that's probably because they have never had a gaming mouse or possibly even a gaming computer that was worth shit.

I really like the keyboard controls because it allows for advanced play. I have pretty good "intuitive adaption" so advanced interface has never been a problem.
It's what I grew up on as well. I gamed on a Amiga since i was <2, got a genesis when i was younger. I think the thing that really got me into gaming was the Acer computer we had preloaded software and it took off from there. I always played consoles at my friends houses. I got an SNES years ago because it was a steal ( i mean it was Super Mario All stars, Super Mario World, Bubsy, A link to the past, jungle book and 2 controllers for $15)wii is only the second console i owned besides the genesis but i mean i've bought a ton of VC games... i've spent over 200 dollars on VC games
