| I agree with Sharky. The lack of 3rd part is disappointing, and even some of Nintendo's heavy hitters have yet to hit one out of the park. My only objection is the statement of RE5, SC4 etc... titles going to PS3/360. The companies would love to put them out for the wii. Multi-platform means more money, and especially on the wii, where they know it would get them money. The problem is of course the graphics. As such, they are making cash-in/fan service games (though in REUC's defense, it was a very good game). Why wouldn't they want to put SC4 or RE5 on the wii though? The problem is Nintendo disregarded the graphics race and as such they'll lose some great 3rd party titles.

| The reason Ghostbusters is cartoony in the PS2 and Wii versions is so they can use the "unique art style" as an excuse for graphics that look like a pile of vomit and a dog turd mashed together. I agree with Sharky on the whole. Look at Ubisoft. Wii gets two throwaway minigames compilations, a last-gen port of a Prince of Persia game, and FarCry Vengeance. Meanwhile, PS360 enjoys Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six Vegas, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, GRAW... heck, even Naruto: Rise of the Ninja on the 360 was reviewed pretty well. |

| the lack of 3rd party supports boils down to the limitations of graphics. If it was easier to port a 360/PS3 game then we would be getting more of them. But it's a lot easier to port a PS2 game, so that's what we're seeing. But I think it's becoming less of a problem. There are quite a few exclusives coming out next year: no more heroes, fragile, monster hunter 3, Oopeana, etc.

| I guess I'm in the minority but I don't have a problem with the Wii lineup. Currently I own Wii Sports, Wii Play, Spiderman 3, Mario Strikers Charged, Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, Twilight Princess, and Super Mario Galaxy. The first 3 I don't play very much, and Strikers I play occasionally for the online (Spiderman 3 was one of my little brother's birthday gifts, no, I would never buy it myself, hell, I wouldn't even use someone else's money on it). Galaxy is eating up most of my time right now. I still have TP and the single player in Banana Blitz to finish. I want Medal of Honor Heroes 2 and Guitar Hero III by the time Xmas comes around. That will easily last me until Mario Kart Wii and Brawl. Beyond that, I'll be picking up Animal Crossing Wii for sure and Endless Ocean and Disaster : Day of Crisis looks interesting if it ever makes it out of development. But I'm sure other good games will come out that we wouldn't have expected, I mean, who thought Heroes 2 or Zack & Wiki would be any good? You can't predict what a lineup will be like a year in advance, there are too many possible variables. So that's the first thing, I'm not disappointed with the games Wii is getting or will get. Secondly, I don't find other consoles' lineups that great. You all must be thinking "are you kidding?" right now (especially 360 fans), but I'm not. If I look at the 360's current lineup I would definitely get Halo 3 and Assassin's Creed and most likely NHL 08. After that, I might get CoD4 and/or Crackdown and/or skate. But it kinda stop there. Even less on PS3. I'd probably get Ratchet & Clank, Assassin's Creed and NHL 08 and then maybe CoD4/skate (if I didn't have a 360 for the last four). Nothing else really interests me much at all. All in all Nintendo's big guns are more important to me than the "good" (and I say it like that because most of them I would not find interesting) games on the other consoles. The thing I crave is real online play. That would be the driving factor in me getting, most likely, a 360. But I want more interesting games on it to justify a purchase of a 360 and the 60$ a year I'd spend on XBL. Last edited by 2pro4show; November 29th, 2007 at 10:01 PM. |

| I seriously don't understand the hate for the Ghostbusters Wii game. What the hell's wrong with a game.

| You bought Spiderman 3 for the Wii, yet won't spend $5 a month on XBL?

I did say I was interested in Ratcher & Clank... And Mass Effect, I'm not so interested in. I'm quite confident I've never liked an RPG in my life. I've seen videos of it, it doesn't seem extraordinary to me. But I did forget about Assassin's Creed. Yes, I'd definitely get that. It's probably the game I've been following the most on a console other than Wii. I'll edit it in to my last post. I had intended to put "The first 3 I don't play very much, and Strikers I play occasionally for the online (Spiderman 3 was one of my little brother's birthday gifts, no, I would never buy it myself, hell, I wouldn't even use someone else's money on it)." after the sentence detailing the games I own, but I forgot. I'll edit that in too. :\ |
