I'm going to say Wii cannot do RE5. Unless you want it to look like absolute garbage.
Are you saying RE4 looks like absoulte garbage?

Are you saying RE4 had a hundred independently-acting zombies onscreen at once?

I only remember maybe two dozen at a time maximum.

No, I'm not saying that. Wii games don't have to look like absoulte garbage if they take away quite a bit of the AI.

Anyway, Capcom could give RE5 Wii to be built ground up by a seperate team. (They should do that)

An enhanced RE4 engine would be good enough for me... obviously the Wii version wouldn't look quite as shiny in the same way that the 360/PS3 version wouldn't control quite as well.

Please, please, please stop giving people ammunition to mock wii owners. Every time this debate is brought up I feel embarassed.

First of all I wouldn't want them taking away AI. Considering RE doesn't seem to be about zombies anymore (as zombies don't wield axes and such), they need that AI. Going from sixteen Ganados to 50 while trying to give the game better AI, graphics, larger environments, and the works on six-year-old hardware would be a nightmare I wouldn't want to have to deal with.

i agree with MS here, i dont want to see re5 on wii cause it would look and play so much worse than the other 2 that i would want to add it to my rant the other day about how much wii versions of stuff suck.......

The only game I wanted to see get a Wii treatment already is (Okami).

Otherwise? Not much of anything, really. RTS games might be OK with the Wiimote, but I'll wager that USB keyboard/mouse work miracles on PS3 compared to that kludgy workaround.

I'm coming to the realization that any game that absolutely needs cool and innovative controls can just as well sell it as part of the game (Guitar Hero, Dance Dance Revolution, Time Crisis, etc.).

Ah, the ol' re5 wii chestnut.

Honestly, as long as the gameplay were intact (and by gameplay I mean far better gameplay thanks to far better controls) the game could look like re5 64 and neither I, nor sales data would care.

Just my 2c.

DING! DING! DING!

Congratulations! You've identified the most under-examined flaw with the Wii's last gen power..inferior AI.
