| Look, here's the thing, developers are quite happy to port last gen games to Wii and add waggle because a good game like Resi4 will sell, what they're not willing to do is compromise graphics and overall scale for waggle (contrary to the beliefs of some). Some developers do still believe that the graphics help with the immersion of the game. A lot of devs out there just don't want to downscale their game for Wii when they'll sell a lot more on 360 or PS3 anyway.

| Who? Which devs aren't developing for the Wii?

| Do they believe that or is it what they want you to believe so they don't have to invest in developing new gameplay concepts or getting real writers?

| I never said they weren't developing for Wii, I said they were developing games for Wii, spin-offs and ports because they can't do the same as the other consoles. Resident Evil is just one of many examples, Nintendo are so far the only people to get their console right. Developers don't have to compromise. Ask yourself, so far, what has the Wii brought the table in terms of advancing gaming? Nothing, because not all gamers want waggle, a lot would much rather have new gameplay concepts in game, rather that through a controller. And no matter how many Wiis sell, there's developers who are not going to develop on it. What Wii needs is Nintendo to show how waggle can be done well and then show other devs, because so far, it's nothing that couldn't have been done with an add on.

| I hope they believe it, because it's true. If anything the jump from Wii to 360 made me see that. Graphics can make a truly amazing environment that just sucks you in. I will say though that in games like Zelda TP the Wii controls just felt super natural and I did like them for that game. I can't wait for when next generation integrates the two, amazing controls + amazing graphics will be great. MS and Sony have to be looking at motion control as a serious thing for next generation, I'd like to see what they do with it. Yes, I don't count the sixaxis as a serious attempt at motion control...

| I don't think Sony even consider it a serious attempt at motion control...

| That's because the Sixaxis isn't an attempt at motion control. Motion control and tilt sensing are not the same thing.

| But if Re5 looked like Re4 and and had the Wiimote, don't you think it still would be just as good as Re5 on 360/PS3? Just like how a game on any console got high scores then the downgraded one on the Ds got same or higher?

| I'll ignore the current debate and add the games I thought would be cool to have on the Wii: - Black & White: IR pointer being your hand, just like the PC version used the mouse, any similar game would be awesome, plus with wifi we could visit other "gods" and have creature battles just like with the PC version. - Katamari Damacy: there really isn't any reason IMO for the Wii not to have a Katamari game - Pikmin 3: come on Nintendo, you know that the Wii would be perfect for a new Pikmin title! - Old-school point&click adventures: I could totally see games of that type being released as Wii-ware While talking about wii-ware, I would digg some classic board games that would be online compatible, like Clue, Monopoly or Risk |
