Who has the best games/most exclusives?

Only 19% of the currently released Wii exclusives are rated over 75%? That's impressively low. Exclusives really are an unfair comparison between the consoles as long as the Wii is included because it obviously is going to have more exclusives. Take the Wii out of the mix and it becomes more easily comparable. And when looking at the numbers between the PS3 and 360 they are amazingly close. Sure the 360 has twice the games, but it's been out twice as long.

But this does not matter, correct?
All that matters is which has the largest gaming library right now. That is all people have to look at to make a purchase. Am I right?
It's like saying that just because a criminal got a head start on the cops, he should stop and wait for them to catch up so they have a fair chance.

I'm just saying that the number of games is the only real difference between the PS3 and the 360. If you look at the percentages, then the numbers are practically identical.

The list of PS3 exclusives currently out is the glaring reason I don't have one and the definitive thing that can be shoved up the arse of anyone who tries to use metacritic to say that the PS3 has a library worth buying the console for.

Some semi decent games in there but there's so few. I don't see how it's worth even a £300 investment at the moment. I can't image what some of you must be feeling who payed $599/£400 for that and have a 360 as well. If you don't have a 360 then yeah, it's a bit more worth it but I can't see why you can choose the PS3 over the 360 looking at those lists.

And herein lies the kicker, and the issue with looking at the exclusivity in the first place. This isn't a two-way race, it's a three-way race, and there's a quite sizable chunk of multiplatform games that are really great on two or even all three consoles (ex. Rock Band, Guitar Hero 3, Assassin's Creed, Eternal Sonata, Call of Duty 4, etc.).

Naturally the Wii exclusives are more numerous, but it's becoming clear that it's necessary to create exclusive games for the Wii rather than doing multiplatform (as was so common in the PS2/Xbox 1/GCN days), so a lot of "exclusives" like Soul Calibur Legends aren't really so very exclusive - they're there more by necessity than by desire.

basically, the wii has a huuuuuuge amount of exclusives, but most of them are complete crap. but these numbers are kinda deceiving, because while it might seem to indicate the wii is better off game-wise, the truth is that the 360 and PS3 have a huge amount of multiplats the wii doesnt.

Some people have different tastes in games. A bigger list of exclusives is all well and good, but it still comes down to what type of games you like. To me I'm perfectly happy with my PS3 and the games that are available for it, both exclusive and multiplatform. If I had to choose all over again, I'd still pick the PS3 because there really isn't anything I'm dying to play on the 360.

i dont like that statement. i dont know why. but i dont

and i think its (in terms of good exclusives) 360>wii>PS3. but, in overall games (which is what really matters), its 360>PS3>wii. and if i had to choose again, id choose PS3, because i really love uncharted, ratchet and clank, resistance, etc... and the only games i want to play on 360 i can play on my PC.
