Will this lead to PS3 sales increasing more? Is the extra cost of the PS3 worth the exclusives it's getting from proven franchises? Are the compaints about the lack of Wii games justified? In my opinion, the PS3 sales wil increase but the price point is still too high for it to increase enough to overtake the 360 next year. The Wii obviously has more good games than people are saying and with so many on the way, there's bound to be some good games that a lot of people will enjoy. Discuss |

| You forgot one very important factor of the Wii exclusives: They're all minigame wagglefests!!! They do not count!!

| Ah, knew the 360 would be on top. This is a good find DD. I wonder how these standings will look in a year?

| I predict great things for this thread. ![]() But to not sound like a troll, I'll add to this. As far as saying PS3 sales increasing, DD, I'd say it would be increasing due to the new marketing campaign for the PS3, more so than the games (even though games and marketing kind of go hand in hand). I've seen nothing but PS3 commercials for a month straight. I guess we'll find out this Xmas if they worked or not. Maybe if the PS3 adds were to show these stats, the sales would increase. But what average consumer will know these off the top of their heads?

| Erm... Hence the 12 from the proven franchises. For some reason the site hasn't said MH3 is from a proven franchise either. Have a look at the games that are coming out for all 3 consoles and you'll see that the Wii comes out really well!

| It's also interesting to note that a year ago the Xbox 360 was leading with 43, followed by the PS3 with 39 and then the Wii with 35. That was mostly due to the year head start.

| yeah im sorry but a lot of the wii exclusives are just gimmick games that really arnent going to sell. When I think of an exclusive I think of a game that is something that makes soneone think "I can only get X game on Y system, I must get Y system" It moves systems. The wii has those, but most of their exclusives are really just gimmick games.

| The fact that the 360 and PS3 are closest in raw power ment that they would both share many many multiplatform games from the start while the Wii, the weakest of the 3 and the most different because of it's controller(s), was always bound to get more exclusives. In other words, many 360/PS3 games won't appear on the Wii because the Wii is not powerful enough, and most Wii games won't appear on the 360/PS3 because of the controls. Rayman Raving Rabbits was ported to other consoles, and it really wasn't as good, thus why the sequel is Wii exclusive (not counting the DS iteration). |
