| Not being funny, but I've come to the conclusion the best use of Wii is not for games, but this: Clip: Excite Your Office Colleagues With A Wii Whiteboard Marker

| I tappa tapped something up, but Power666 said it better. Nintendo's hardware dept. is non stop. The only reason I insist the wii controller was never intended for the cube is because it would have been a disaster, nintendo know better than that. Also the gyration stuff is from 2001, when the cube was launched. Etc. ps; PirateThom is being funny, no one say anything.

![]() You're not getting it. Nintendo had planned to release the Wii remote (or more accurately something closer to this) for the GameCube. Yes, the Gyration prototypes were from 2001 and were designed to work with Nintendo's new console released the same year. As an add-on, it was to compliment the current system. There is nothing shocking or surprising about this. Through corporate politics, the actual plan for the add-on was killed. The technology itself became the corner stone for the Wii instead. |

| Show me the proof Power666. Failing that, give me a reason why nintendo would release a second controller to 'compliment' the already awesome cube one.

| It's and add-on. No different than including a light zapper, or Super Scope, Power Glove or something along those lines. Consoles have always had additional controller types released after launch to use for certain games.

I for one, am glad that the gaming public overall has embraced the Wii, seeing the potential in it, instead of seeing it as another Virtual Boy. It means that there is a REAL future in Motion Sensing gaming in the future, and this is great news for gamers like me that have felt that standard controllers are starting to feel starved. Plus its great to see that this motion sensing gaming can be had for pretty cheap, and works better than I expected. Still, its not the lack of good games on the wii, just the lack of good motion sensing games.

Wait...what? The link power666 gave wasn't enough proof? I thought the GC controller had one of the worst button layouts ever devised. Anyone agree? |

The Sixaxis on the ps3 is used in small amounts and is not there answer to the Wii Remote. More like there own innovation (all be it not very good yet)

| I would hate gaming if the next xbox had a xbox-mote with motion sensing. The Wii-mote is fun to use sometimes, but if using it was my only option for playing games, I probably wouldn't play too many games.
