FPS: PC vs. Console, which is better?

I was only able to rashionalize it because, well, back in the day almost no one had broadband, and therefore the only real way to play your friends in mutiplayer was splitscreen.

Mulitplayer online was still good then. Different netcode and all. Heck Counterstrike started its heyday with majority of users still running 56k

If you're a gamer, at heart, grew up playing video games, played a variety of genres, and really really love a great video game that has you hooked for months, then PC is the best way to go hands down.

I've been gaming for over 2 decades, can't remember how much of my life has gone to Video Games, PC games are best.

Some console games lately are good but they steal them from PC developers (Halo, GTA etc) because there is more money in console sales (less piracy and young boys who don't know better).

There are a couple genres which are better on console than PC. Sports games and Fighting games. That's it. For replay and depth, PC pwns.
