| RROD isn't the 360's only problem. My first 360 died in the first 12 hours. Haven't had a problem since though. My first PS2 scratched my copy of Tekken within a few days. Target exchanged both after I rang Sony. They told me to take it back there. My Slim PS2 would just randomly crash a fair bit. So I sold it off and bought the Pink one. I also own a FAT Silver PS2 which is fine. My Halo 3 sexbox is the toughest motherfucker I've seen. I've REALLY put it through the ringer as much as possible so if it dies, it dies within a year so I can get a new one. But it passes every test magnificently. |

| I think this is true for all consumer electronics, I also think this varies from contry to contry within the same region. As an example I can take my own country (not knowing how it works in i.e. US): You have 1 year warranty if something fails or brakes within a year (of course assuming you haven't obviously mistreated it). Then you have a 2nd year of warranty (by consumer laws) you have to proove that you haven't mistreated the product, this means that if the product has faild from normal use. In this 2nd year the distributer of the hardware has 3 attempts to fix the product if the product hasn't been fixed you are supposed to be warrated a replacement or a full refound (as an example i used this on a MD player that faild on me 1 year and 4 months after purchase I got all my money back and bought a new one with better preformance and at a lower cost of course the process of sending it to repair and getting it back 3 times took about 3 months but still I had our laws on my side). Now I'm not saying this differs from how it works in other countries but I have a hunch this is not the case i.e. in US. |

| My first 360 died within the first 3 months, the one I have now works perfectly a little loud though. But my point is that as long as they fix their problem, I don't have a problem with it, everyone makes mistakes, but they don't always make up for them. I haven't heard about anyone having RRoD problems for some time.

| My little brother plays the 360 much more relatively recently(starting about a year ago :/)...However at first ours was a launch system that was largely played casually. Recently discs have been getting very slight rings around the edges, Guitar hero 2, and halo 3 both were ringed(but non of my little brothers sports games <_<). He still plays the xbox a ton as well actually...I like that system, the games it has are pretty fun.
