So the question is, are the 'extra load times' of the 360 longer than the 'making a sandwich' initial loading time of the PS3 version?

Someone wake me up when it's been timed.

Sorry, too busy playing games as soon as I put them in the console to time stuff like that. Ask someone with a PS3 if they can do it while it installs maybe?

Let's crunch some numbers on this, shall we?

If you do the math and assume there are about 100 doorways in DMC4, and they all need loading time (also factoring in some time for the start of missions and menu loads and all that) then if you consider that each load time will be a few seconds- for the purposes of my wacked out math we'll assume it takes a horribly long 10 seconds during each load (instead of the demo's 4-5 seconds max). 1000/60= about 17 min. That's the load time for the 360 version. By this number, we all know that you'd end up waiting afterall if you play the PS3 version instead, because it takes 20 min. to install, then you factor in the lesser loading times that are STILL THERE. Assuming that they're cut by half, then the time for PS3 in total (including installing files) would be 30 minutes (8.5 min. was the normal loading time of the game with the ginormous load times).

In summation, if you're multiplatform and can't decide which version... If you're a person that likes to get a hearty snack before playing an awesome game, get the PS3 version and make a sandwich. But if you just need light snacking while actually playing the game, pop in the 360 version and immediately grab a few chips or something and go to town on them during your longer in game loads. And yes. I am waiting for my PS3 to finish installing the files... Only 10 min. to go (lol, j/k).

Capcom will be pleased to know you found something productive to do

It's funny how this can be twisted into a bad thing...

Twisted? I thought it fitted quite well into the bad-thing box without too much effort at all.
