With AoC when you play for example a barbarian, you can just stand and swing from different directions or use special attacks (or both ofcourse). But you don't just klick an icon to make him use the attack, you have to first klick the icon the the "combat rose" will light up different numbers (you swing your attacks with q123e so a combo could be 1 e 2 q. The better the move the harder and longer the combo will be. So it aint like the WoW rogue system ![]() And it is ofcourse a standard MMO, every MMO is that are out at the moment, but it do have quite alot of features that not many have. as I have listed above, one thing I forgot though was player build cities and forts (which is siege combat). |

| seige combats coming to WoW.... but i was just thinking a planetside sequel would be awsome for a console... of course it would be made by SOE and therefore would only show up on PS3 and of course they would ruin it later with bad design desitions but its worth a shot

| wow may have an expansive open world and huge userbase, but the graphics suck and it requires loads of ram otherwise you cache to the hard drive and it disconnects you. Guild wars however, is free, doesn't require huge amounts of ram ( i ran it on my old pc with 512mb on high easily) and the graphics were beautiful at the time it was released. You also dont have to play it huge amounts to get the good gear, cause its all the same, except the expensive stuff has bragging rights. guild wars 2 on the consoles would be great imo |

| The concept would have to be 100% thought out for console, both in terms of network, updates, storage and interface. Storage shouldn't be a problem on the current most high-end consoles (yes I am excluding the Wii here ) since they have a hard drive (or you can actually buy one should someone have bought the HDD-less 360). The biggest challenge in a console MMO would really be the interface. Many PC MMO games have complex interface that are easily useable with just a mouse, communication being possible through either keyboard or voice-chat. But the consoles don't have the keyboard and mouse, and if a MMO was released on console to be playable only with a keyboard and mouse... well I'd have to wonder what's the point. The interface would be directed by the type of MMO. Currently, when people think of MMO, they automatically associate it with MMORPG where the main goal is to hack and slash your way to a higher level... nice concept, but it's been overdone IMO, and these MMORPG are often inventory/stat heavy games, often putting asside the MMO aspect of the game (the only incentive of those games to be MMO are often that the big monster is so strong that you need to gang up on it). My dream console (or PC) MMO would probably be a mix of Black&White (for the simple interface and good vs evil mechanic) and Fable (again good vs evil mechanic), Civilization, Sim City, Guild Wars, and add a dash of MUD in there. |

| A mmo I would love to see on a console would be Jumpgate evolution. For those who doesn't know this one, it's a space mmo, live EVE though you get to fully controll your space ship with barrel rolls and everything. This could fit very well with a console since you don't have many special attacks, instead you have 1-3 weapons you use. And as you level you can buy better ships, customize them with weapons, armour, mining equipment etc. Though the problem with chatting still exist, but that is a problem they have to figure out, not me ![]() Hey! I don't get paid to think xD |
