Listen to power, he's a good dude.

I'm sure you will find the game worthwhile once you get AT LEAST past the castle, really, you barely gave it a chance.

I know it follows the standard cookie cutter Zelda concept of there being evil and you need to get these three items so you can get the Master Sword and now get these other items so you can beat Ganondorf, but other than that i have no idea what's going on. There were some kids that needed rescuing, but I think I did that already, yet the game keeps going.
On one hand I did complete Twilight Princess in a week but I enjoyed the story, a lot. Maybe it's just one of these stories that needs to be inhaled all at once for the full effect.

And unfortunately the game doesn't draw me in nearly enough for me to play it at that pace.

Umm... My first play through where I tried to collect everything was over 80 hours (I'll be damned if I use a guide). Twilight Princess is not a short game by any measure. In fact its length is both a positive and a negative for the game.

39 hours for me, I didn't collect everything. (Or use no stinkin' guide... Juno...)

[edit;] Actually, I didn't even realize the game had a fishing hole til after I finished it, imagine that.

I've never played TP because I didn't really enjoy OoT. The only Zelda game I liked was LttP.

Minus the two PS2 ports then, but that's not the majority of the list, so there's still a sizable amount of games for Wii that at least look promising (I filtered out games with dubious reputations on that list). And sorry about keeping Big Willy in there It's a prequel so that shouldn't be on the "not a sequel" list.

Apparently, people are shocked that some gamers don't like the 3D Zeldas... it's not a shock to me at all, since...
it's different strokes for different folks! Amazing! I've played all the 3D Zeldas and am playing TP itself, but that doesn't mean I expect every other gamer in the universe to enjoy it as much as I do.
