Default Army of Two

There's some talk about Army of Two scattered around the forum, but I couldn't find an official topic.

Bought the game today because me and my buddy are just suckers for co-op. We didn't have a lot of time to play today but my first impressions are positive. It's got the basics down good enough (aiming, shooting, cover etc.) and the Aggro system is interesting. It's not much fun playing with the enemy A.I. though, co-op is a must as far as I'm concerned.

Graphics are ok. Noticed some texture pop-up and jaggies but overall it's a pretty decent looking game.

Anyone else stupid enough to play full price for this?

Everything I've heard about it basically is around the same thing: if you buy it, it's because you're looking for some good co-op fun.

Isn't that the point of buying a co-op designed game though?

Just beat it today. Some things to point out (BULLET POINTS GUYS)
  • The mechanics (dragging your fallen partner, back to back, etc) are all amazing.
  • The story is quite good, and so is the humor (I just randomly found a map telling me that some random village is actually a random terrorist training facility!)
  • Gun/Armor customization is good, although you can't make your body armor any different; only Light, Medium, and Heavy armor.
  • Online is laggy at the moment, but like skate., the problems will be fixed soon. The online modes are really cool.
  • The AI in single player (your buddy, not the enemy AI), can be REALLY stupid. I.e. walking behind a gun on a turret () and not shooting him. He may just stand there aimlessly.
  • So much more fun with a buddy/sibling in real life, or with a buddy/sibling online.

Once the server issues are fixed, I'm positive it will have been worth the $60 (or $5.83 that I got it for ).

I've heard the single player campaign is really, really short. As in shorter than COD4's OMG-I-blinked-and-it-was-over single player.

True?

Yes... I wasn't saying that to be negative or anything, just that it really is designed for co-op, because you apparently won't find much else.

Who plays games alone now anyway? The internet is a great thing...

Me, I still prefer a good single player game over any online game.
