Hpow many have actually had the issue and how many haven't? i think actual numbers would be handy here. Remember the massive issue over wiimote straps breaking? It happened to about 3 people and suddenly it was a massive problem. This could be on similar lines

A dirty lense isn't much of an issue is it?

I'm sure nintendo is cheap (it costs 250, with a profit sale), but it can read DL with the update.

I doubt its a lens problem...

thats like when MS said it was from people not allowing proper ventilation of the 360.

Pisspoor drives... teh update may work for some, but others are failing.. maybe the laser isnt intense enough and needs the voltage cranked. so on and so forth... however I doubt its as simple as a dirty lens problem.

If it was a dirty drive, why can't Nintendo send out the cleaning tools?

Oh, because the drive needs to be replaced?

yeah there are many lens cleaners on the market that work very well... I wouldnt buy the cheap ones as the fiber tend to come off and make situations worse.. this is more then a dirty lens

I always knew those Wiis were crap. We should just burn them all now. How's that for sensationalism?
