Halo 3 the same game but Brawl not?

They say Halo 3 is the same game as Halo 1 and 2, just with new levels, weapons and prettier graphics

Halo 3 is the same game. But I don't see that as a problem, it should be the same game since it is part of a trilogy.

Super Smash bros is different only in that it isn't the same storyline. Smash Bros games are different in the same way GTA games are.

I could go back to playong Melee, it has no sweet spots, tripping, auto buttons, horrible floatyness, slowish (compared to melee) and the fact that when you do attacks, it always feels like you are hitting putty. Melee had better combos for sure and more fun to watch. I still like Brawl alot though but hard to say "Will you go back to Melee" garbage since Melee has been played out for like 7 years and Brawl just came out. After playing it for a month it already feels tiring. I can't play Brawl vs people for aslong as I can play Melee vs people.

This kind of thing pissed me off when people were dissing DMC4. A game that takes the best parts of its predecessor and just spices it up graphically and maybe adds a bit more content shouldn't be considered horribly for doing so. If a sequel game reinvented the wheel, then you'd probably alienate everyone that liked the original game. Yeah, Brawl's the same just like Halo 3. Which is exactly why it's such a cool game (from what I've heard).

But, Halo is hyped, Brawl is not.
Hype is hard to live up to, where as brawl hasn't got any compentition really? So people won't moan against it.
It's the only game on the wii that is good (imo)

Uhh..did you expect Brawl to be completely different than Melee?

I agree that the story mode could have been better, but the Subspace is only an extra (at least to me)

..and "With Anyone" is pretty limited..but with friends, you can play matches with a ton of options.

Brawl had just about as much hype as Halo. Without the outside marketing.

But I heard more Brawl talk in real life, than I did Halo 3 talk.

Brawl had no hype? I thought it was hyped to the teeth, even when Halo 3, Bioshock, mass Effect, Sony game, Other wii game, came out, everyone aid, wait for brawl, it will slaughter them, other games are not a real game compared to Brawl. Atleast what I been hearing.

The graphics are decent. The gameplay isn't as hyper, which I miss. I'd say SSE is pretty good, nostalgic, and funny at times, but when it comes down to it, I could just as well go back to melee if I wanted (not to mention I'm not buying a Wii) or just find a MUGENd engine of the game

saying melee had better combos is debatable, some characters have much better combos, while others still have good combos, but play different from their melee counter parts
