It is, however totally sold out in Los Angeles. I was a Circuit City getting Brawl and they had one Wii (they had gotten in a few that day) but no 360's. And of course a big stack of PS3's.

Here in Northern California, something weird. On a random Sunday at Target:

Wiis - gone *shrug*
PS3s all models - GONE?!
XBox 360 all models - 2-3 of each?

Hmmm... I'm surprised MS isn't going to make a BluRay option for the 360. Why let the PS3 keep its BluRay advantage? (Then again, as said earlier, that may not really hurt PS3 sales that much)

I think the blu-ray card has been played out. I saw a stand-alone player yesterday for €279 (against €399 for the PS3). So pretty soon the PS3 won't be a realistic option for the consumer who just wants a blu-ray player. Funny thing is, that BD-player was a Sony.
(I almost bought that stand-alone player by the way.)

Keep wishing, Fyrus. Maybe one of these days your prayers will be answered.

(Then again, they could always put it on 11 single layer DVDs, or 6 dual layer DVDs... right? )

Here we go with the back and forth for the next few months. If it never happens, we'll hear rumors about how it's going to happen for the life of the console, and if it happens then everyone will say they knew it was going to.

I don't think the recent articles saying anyone was "in talks" mean anything either. MS simply said they're preparing to support blu-ray, not that it would necessarily be in the 360. They're probably taking a wait-and-see approach right now.

Dude, it's pretty obvious the 360 isn't getting a bluray player. Let it go.

Is that directed at me? I don't see anywhere in my post where I said it was happening or that I hoped it would.

WTF would I care: I have an SDTV. I can use VHS and still get by alright.
