| I think that the amount of time spent playing Video Games separates the hardcores and casuals. The type of games being played is irellavent. We all agree that Wii Sports, WII Play are casual games, but if a gamer plays them games for 8 hours a day every day wouldn't that gamer be considered a Hardcore Gamer. (would possibly be a mental retard to actually play those games for that length of time) I would say I am Hardcore, as I play from anywhere between 2 hours - 6 hours a day, and spend a lot of money on gaming.

| Its interesting to note that typical 'hardcore' gamers represent only a fraction of the overall gamer market. Although their voice is prevailant on forums etc, they dont speak for a great deal in the 'real' world.
