 True, but Mode 7 was first used in Pilotwings and F-Zero, both came out in 91.

| metalhead was right iD software made it possible to use 2D to make it look 3D which resulted in developers taking interest in making games in 3D, Wolfenstein 3D was the first game to take on 3D.
