It wouldn't be hard to adapt the algorithm based upon sales data reports (Media Create, NPD etc.) from a database.

A lot of changes like this can be made but we've had the same problem with update ever since the site was sold.

Read any random page of the 5 million happy posts thread, and you'll understand this: The numbers suck, they've been updated recently, but our owner doesn't give a shit about us, and the admins are lazy. (most of the mods are great, but admins just have more power)
