Stop whining

If you've played COD4 online for any substantial period of time, I'm sure you've heard someone complain incessantly about "camping." Generally, they repeat the word "camping" about 5 million times within the span of a few minutes. This is annoying.

Let's be clear. From what I can tell, these people are not talking about spawn camping, which I really don't see too much of (and I've logged like 140 hours online). These people seem to get pissed any time someone stays in the same spot for longer than 5 seconds. If you ask me, this is part of the game, so STOP WHINING. I have news for you: in a real battle situation, people look for cover and, if they can, don't expose themselves unnecessarily. Look, if you know someone is sitting in a particular location, think for about 2 seconds about how you can get to them and kill them...generally, there aren't any "invincible" locations. Throw in a frickin' grenade for crying out loud. I wish these people would just shut up and play the game. Stop telling people how they need to play the game and just try to adapt to their strategies.

I haven't played it online yet, so I can't really comment, but if the problem really is opponents finding secure spots and taking pot shots at all comers, then they need to deal with it like they do in real life. Take cover, keep him occupied, get some teammates to flank him and shred him. Find high ground and snipe him. Do a WWI rush; run screaming at him, and the last survivor gets him when he reloads.. If you don't get him, then he plays the game better than you. Simple as that.

if everyone does camp on a server, as in hides in a single spot waiting for people to walk by then no one is having fun (except those that like watching grass grow).

Unless you are playing on an objective based map where you are defending a particular area, then camp away, that just makes sense and will not adversely effect gameplay as the other side has to come to you.

If the other team is camping, throw in a grenade or something. If you know where they are, then go after them. There's a kill cam for a reason...look where they are and sneak around to get them. Simple as that. If you still can't kill them, you need to work on your game. Again, STOP WHINING.
