| Like somehow every fps made these days *isnt* generic? Note that i am not interested in this game or console, but it appears ign scored it low because it was a 'generic fps'? Yet they loved gow, bioshock and even cod4? Those are all generic shooters that are boring to play too.

| I enjoyed it. Screw the haters, it's not like any of you are ever gonna play it anyway.

| I enjoyed the demo, but I'm not too convinced to buy it. Haze is not necessarily a bad game, and it certainly feels like I'm playing Time Splitters for a moment. The graphics are indeed sub-par compared to other next-gen titles, but they aren't that bad either. At least they tried to not make everything look grey/brown like any other FPS do.

| Wheren't there a lot of fanboys touting this as one of PS3's new system killer titles? I've playes RFOM and wasn't impressed. I hope Sony starts putting out the good quality games that all the fanboys are spouting about because I'm going to need to buy a BluRay player now that HD-DVD is dead.

| Say Boffo I noticed your award and then looked at your post count. I'm going to try and give you a run for your money. J/K I could never post 30 posts a day. |

| Post count doesn't have much to do with being a good poster. As long as make posts of at least a decent quality you'll be fine.

| The bolded is truth. I thought the onslaught of sandbox games was horrible, hence my disdain for last-gen, but the deluge of console fps just might be worse.

| Well after the reviews and my overall reaction the HAZE demo, I wasn't really urging to buy this. But somehow my gf got it in her head to buy it for me for what reason I have no idea. But anyways.... heres my review: The game starts off really slow (And I mean painfully slow). The action is totally lost by constant interuptions for extremely poorly acted cut-scenes. Your Mantel soldier teammates quickly become a pure annoyance from there consistently stupid remarks and corny 'high fives'. Knowing that the story of the game eventually leads you to converting over to the promise hand rebels, it was the only thing I really looked forward to at the start of the game. Once you eeek your way through the painfull cutscenes and the mediocre action of the Mantel soldiers, you join the opposing Promise Hand Rebels. Once this happens the game picks up a bit, immediatley you are able to steal the gun (this is, actually, a pretty neat feature) and kill the two 'high five happy' idiots. Overalol I think the game does a really mediocre effort in telling the story, as to much seems to happen to fast. I have only been able to try multiplayer for a few minutes as I had work to attend to at the time, but from what I experienced its really nothing different from any otehr standard FPS. I'm sure once players figure out each soldiers abilities they will be able to really expand how thier multiplayer experience plays out. The Mantel soldiers have the obvious nectar drug, which allows them to spot enemies easier (and believe me it really does spot them easier as they glow yellow), and also allows them to resist more damage then the opposing Promise Hand Rebels. The Rebels on the other hand have much more interesting abilities (in my opinion at least, who cares about nectar..). First off is weapon stealing which I mention earlier. This is quite simple as it consists of pressing the standard melee button followed by a quicik tap of the interaction button (whatever you have configured as). You then use the stolen weapon to simply blow the victims freakin head off. Another ability is the option to customize your grenade by lacing it with some nectar, which releases the drug as a gas around a crowd of mantel soldiers. This then causes them to overdose and go absolutely nuts. The rebels alos have a dodging action they can use, kinda like GoW (maybe not, I don't know...lol) but with much, much less animation. All in all, what spoils alot of this game is the acting. Its so bad it makes the game not worth taking seriously. Either then that its mostly a standard FPS as you would expect. Yes the graphics are average at best, it certainly isn't something to brag about. It has co-op play (meaning two people on the same TV) both online and offline which can be fun. I would give this game a 7/10. Leaning on a 6.9 Hope this little review answers any question or whatever. Hope this wasn't a total waste of time posting this. Just thought i'd let you know its not all that big of a letdown. Just realllly bad acting. Oh and btw, i'm choosing not to vote on the poll because I don't back up either of those options listed. Make one that says "Meh...Average" and then i'll vote. lol. |

| I saw you were on playing this yesterday. First person on my friends list to do so. Possibly the only person on my friends list that will do so. For some reason it made me want to go and play Lair.
