And even one-use key doesn't stop piracy, I wonder when the industry will learn. It really sucks for honest people because they are the only ones that will suffer from this, not even being able to sell a game that you don't play anyway while pirates continue to play cracked games (even one use keys can be cracked, I played with my HL1 (for CS and DoD) for years untill I deleted the game on a cracked key, a while back I had a A4 sheet with around 300 WinXP keys that all worked with validation. In the rare occurances one of these keys stopped working I just drew a line over it on the paper and then changed to next (history now, haven't had WinXP for 2 years now in my home))

This reminds me of the Bioshock activation dilemma... its sad... well in the future, devs might be lucky to get an Einstein of software security. |
