|  Your thoughts on 'Game of the Year', 'Best RPG', Etc...
Just wondering since the year's almost over, what everyone's thoughts are on game of the year, best rpg,...etc, pretty much all categories...keep in mind these are just your predictions...unless you really can tell the future I'd like say... Game of the Year - ? Still deciding PS3 Game of the Year - Little Big Planet XBox 360 Game of the Year - Gears of War 2 Wii Game of the Year - No More Heroes Multi-Console Game of the Year - Call of Duty: World at War Best FPShooter - Call of Duty: World at War Best RPG - Fallout 3 Best Action/Adventure - Metal Gear Solid 4:Guns of the Patriots Best Platformer - Little Big Planet Best Survival/Horror - Silent Hill: Homecoming Best Racing - Burnout Paradise Worst Game of the Year - Haze Most anticipated game for next year['09] - Resident Evil 5

Game of the Year : Burnout Paradise (mostly because it has lasted for literally the whole year with all the updates). PS3 GotY : LittleBigPlanet (should be a game that people are still playing for years depending when/if a sequel comes out). 360 GotY : Don't own or play the 360 and have no interest in the games, so no answer here. Wii GotY : Mario Kart Wii (MK fan from the start. Can't compare to the SNES original but still good). Multiplatform GotY : Burnout Paradise RPG : Not a big RPG fan and didn't play any from this year. FPS : Not a big FPS fan and have yet to purchase one this year. Was in private and public beta for Resistance 2 so it'll be my pick as I will be buying it. Action/Adventure : Metal Gear Solid 4 (it was this or GTA4 and GTA felt like more of the same from last gen). Platformer : LittleBigPlanet (good to see the genre making a bit of a comeback this year). Sports : NHL 09 (it's hockey. I'm Canadian. It deserves it regardless). Racing : Burnout Paradise (well duh).

GOTY + PS3 GOTY: 戦場のヴァルキュリア Wii GOTY: No More Heroes DS GOTY: すばらしきこのせかい PSP GOTY: Patapon If you don't want to count the last 3 since they had '07 JPN releases, then it would be Brawl, Bangai-O Spirits and Echochrome. |

There are still games to play. But I'll call these now. 360 - Gears 2 Wii - No More Heroes PC - Left 4 Dead PS3 - didn't play any Platformer: Lostwinds (wii) Puzzle: world of goo (wii) Beat-em-up/RPG: Castle Crashers (360) |

Goty: Undecided PS3 Goty: N/A 360 Goty: Mirror's Edge Wii Goty: Okami. If we aren't counting ports, I guess Brawl as it's the only other Wii game I picked up this year. PC: Left 4 Dead/Fallout 3 Best FPS: Left 4 Dead Best RPG: Fallout 3 Best Action/Adventure: Mirror's Edge Best Platformer: Mirror's Edge (haven't played LBP yet) Best RTS: Sins of a Solar Empire Most Anticipated of '09: Mass Effect 2 Overall, this was a pretty lackluster year, when compared to 2007. |
