I know in my heart that "My list =/= Your list"

And it will never end.

Preset expectations for games, either based upon media hype or from previous games in the same series have made it hard for a lot of games now. Mix that in with the fact that there are fewer and fewer original ideas out there and it makes it really difficult for a game to truly stand out and be considered a great game.

Nintendo gaming was at it's peak in my opinion with the SNES and N64. People will disagree with me on the N64, but I loved and still love that console. Sadly I don't think Nintendo will ever return to that glory. They've seen how much money they can make on casual games rushed by developers. It'll never return to how it was.

The N64 was my reintroduction to console gaming, and I love it for it. They didn't have the largest library, and the games were the most expensive by far, but the best games were nothing short of brilliant. The GC had some stellar items too, but renderware more or less ruined it IMO.

You have no foresight whatsoever.

Enlighten me then, Leo, as to where your awesome all knowing Nintendo foresight comes from. Tell me what Nintendo and developers are doing to cater to the core gamer and assure them they aren't forgotten. Don't say the Conduit. That's one example and the core gamer needs more than one good example to justify not being pissed off by how things are going.
