What does that have to do with my comment? Americans don't seem to really care too much about buying products only from the US.

And it's not an excuse. It was more of a joke. I don't care how many xbox's are sold in Germany. I'm not playing with Germans. Plus, they ban half the games released for the 360, so of course nobody's buying the console out there.

The 360 has already made enough of a name for itself to carry through this generation and into the next.

Your comment made no sense. I pointed that out. I'm not saying Xbox Circle isn't selling well worldwide or even in Germany. I'm pointing out the vast majority of people couldn't care less about where something is made, especially something as expensive as a Circle.

Oh, here's this game console. It has all the games I want, a good online service, and a hard drive. Let's get it. OH WAIT! It's made in America, those devilish tricksters almost fooled me into contributing to their country!

My comment made perfect sense considering we went to war with Germany and the Japanese sided with them. I guess you'd have to know a little about history.

But like I said anyway... it was a joke!

And if you think that NOBODY buys products based on what country they're made in, I'd like to introduce you to the world because you're living in some cave somewhere.

Yes, but it's an American product. That was my point. Good grief, move on and talk about the topic of the thread!

Ever hear of Pearl Harbor? Anyway, people do buy products from certain countries if it is part of the marketing or their reputation, like with alcohol and cars. But people don't normally boycott products from a country they went to war with 100 years ago, especially if they only have one or two other rational choices.

Circle may be manufactured in China but it is an American product.

Probably the best use of these new LTDs is comparing them with the NGW front page and laughing.

NGW:

10898776
-USA 5050000
-Japan 339827
-1,926,000 main Europe/PAL as above (counted Spain as 20K)

=3,582,949 supposedly remainder Europe/PAL. lollerskates

Well, I don't think anyone would argue with you that NGW's #'s are off considerably. It just is how it is.

Do you think the ps3 is going to do better in its first year than the 360? I think it'll be close and even if it is close that's a victory for MS because of how badly they were beaten last gen. And we'll all be better off if it's a close war rather than a shut out.

While I'd like to put this thread back on topic, I'd love to know what "did you ever hear of Pearl Harbor?" was supposed to mean? I didn't get the correlation between Pearl Harbor and why Germans wouldn't buy American products over Japanese?

Fixed or am I missing something here? Also what's with your LTDs in the post above, I don't understand.

Edit: Screw that, I thought you were talking about the PS3 not the FB2
