Metallica sues Red Octane, Activision, and Harmonix

Is anyone surprised by this? These guys are the most dispicable "musicians" in the industry. Well that's not fair, we all know this is Lars' doing, maybe a bit of James. These guys really need to do us all a favor and seriously go die. They started off saying "yeah we'll never sell out, heavy metal" etc... then they start making music videos. Then they release a string of horrible albums and become alternica. Then they start suing their fans for money and selling their songs to a bunch of crappy movies. Now this. It's not like they were ever good to begin with, their only good songs are One and Battery. Mustaine is an asshole, but at least he hasn't sunk to Metallica levels of douchebaggery. To quote Newstead "They are Metallicorp now, since they are no longer a band but a corporation."

Oh really? Baseless insults over the internet mean nothing. They suck. They are not what they once were. I'd be happy to tell you face to face if you were here. Truth be told, Metallica hasn't made any good music in over a decade. Songs like "One" and "Enter the Sandman" are brilliant, but their glory days are long past them and they're just riding on the value of their music catalog now.

That's their problem though. They've done a good just of keeping their mouth shut for awhile now but because of their past actions things like this are believable and make it harder for them to change people attitudes about them. They had their moment in the spotlight though. That's more than I'll ever get.

Game studios should have there roots here. Since you'll have a hard time sueing someone for that here. But i guess Metalica dont like there fans. Must be it. I dont understand, why thay would sue a product that will promote there product more then thay can do tham self. This game could probebly sell more Metalica music for them then thay could do them self. All it is, is cheap commercial, thay should pay activision, Harmonix and Red Octan, becouse, how many of you do acctualy buy this game for one song? I buy it becouse the game is alot of fun. Even if it was some music made by some group releasing it for free on the net(Not saying that that cant be good music)
I bought 2 cd's after i played GH II. To get more of the music i liked there.

metallica has ceased to be relevant anymore. st anger was a joke that should have had them dropped from their record label. the only good albums by them are ride the lightning , master of puppets,kill em all and in justice for all. i can believe metallica would do this. bunch of stuck up priks ,they themselves have spit on everything they worked hard to build.
