Funny thing is... making people feel that the PS3 is up to par with the 360 is funny stuff... Considering according to Sony the PS3 is superior to the 360.

Now when god's gift to the world arrives, wouldn't you expect it to perform BETTER than what is supposedly a piece of shit machine? If not better AT LEAST the same right from the get go?

No, you're completely right, the PS3 should be performing better overall. This wasn't a dig at the consoles, it's a dig at EA and their inability to reach 30fps while SCE San Diego, Tecmo, Infinity Ward etc can reach 60fps and still have good looking games.

That's right.

Everything is dependent on developer effort.

Botht the 360 and PS3 are actually capable of producing MUCH better than they currently are. But devs aren't willing to pump the resources into producing those results.

Ratatouille on PS3 (is it on 360?) honestly looks like a high res PS2 game. I kid you not. I saw it the other night at JB Hifi (local aussie retialer). It's shocking.

Even the Wii will surprise people when devs bother to utilise it, and not just cash in on the buzz.

To me, last gen was FAR better as far as getting the MAX out of it's conosles.

Halo 2
God of War 1 and 2
Resident Evil 4
Bully
GTA San Andreas
Metal Gear Solid 2, 3, Twin Snakes
Half Life 2

All great games that maxxed out (or close enough) their consoles.

I dont think we've even seen a game yet that has close to maxxing out ANY of the current consoles.
