Bioshock released early

It ain't to late. You can get one tomorrow. 2K is rapidly sending them to stores, and all stores are releasing them now. Toys R us started it, because the game came with no "release date" on the front. Probably by tomorrow when all the confusion is cleared up you can go grab a copy.

Gameplay:

Take the brutal melee combat from Condemned, the multiple abilities of Psi-Ops, the creepiness of Doom 3, the strategic elements of HL2 and the tight controls of Halo & mix them all together and you have an idea of what it feels like to play this game. Never before have I had to put some much thought into how I was going to defeat an enemy in a game and I've only fought 1 boss thus far! (mind you I am playing on hard) I've also never felt so completely immersed in a virtual world; which leads me to . . .

Graphics:

Imagine Gears before all the destruction and turned up a notch. The graphics are superb in their design and flawless in their execution. The attention to detail is astounding and although it's been said countless times before, "Best. Water. Ever." The only difference is here the gorgeous water is actually an integral character as "alive" as any other in the game.

Sound:

Normally the red-headed step-child of the review system, the sound in Bioshock is so spot on that, IMO it does more to immerse you than even graphics or the gameplay. From the soundtrack to the sound effects to the voice acting, there is no room for improvement! Also, this game is as scary as any AAA Horror film (if there is such a thing) and I think it's due mostly to the sound. I have truly have never played a scarier game. (Surround sound is a MUST!)

Well, that was more than I thought I'd type but this game is worthy of the adulation. Now I'm off to sneak in an hour of play before bed!

I can't wait to play it even more.

I don't even HAVE my XBox 360 yet and I want it.

Better be a tempur-pedic or a nice cali-king sized bed with base and nightstand.
